About the photograph:
During my first days in Chicago, I used to wander around with my 35mm film camera. Many times I would find the streets empty due to the pandemic and the severe weather.
That didn’t intimidate me, though. Capturing Chicago during a winter storm - in fact, my very first one - was incredible and resulted in “CHI,” a best-seller at art fairs.
It has transformed my way of looking at landmarks, turning the Chicago Theatre, spotted in the background, into something more special than just a touristic location.
